But whoever is an adulterer, because of the emptiness of his heart, will destroy his own soul.


You shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor's wife, nor shall you be defiled by the mingling of seed.


If anyone will have committed sexual acts with the wife of another, or will have perpetrated adultery with his neighbor's spouse, they shall die a death, both the adulterer and the adulteress.


You have heard that it was said to the ancients: 'You shall not murder; whoever will have murdered shall be liable to judgment.'


Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients: 'You shall not swear falsely. For you shall repay your oaths to the Lord.'


You have heard that it was said: 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.'


You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and you shall have hatred for your enemy.'


And you shall not commit adultery.
