Therefore, tell us, how does it seem to you? Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar, or not?"


Show me the coin of the census tax." And they offered him a denarius.


And again, he sent another, and him they killed, and many others: some they beat, but others they killed.


At once, Jesus, realizing in his spirit that they were thinking this within themselves, said to them: "Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?


And behold, a certain expert in the law rose up, testing him and saying, "Teacher, what must I do to possess eternal life?"


But realizing their deceitfulness, he said to them: "Why do you test me?


But when Jesus realized their thoughts, responding, he said to them: "What are you thinking in your hearts?


But Jesus, perceiving the thoughts of their hearts, took a child and stood him beside him.


and because he had no need of anyone to offer testimony about a man. For he knew what was within a man.
