And when evening had arrived, he departed from the city.


And when he was in Bethania, in the house of Simon the leper, and was reclining to eat, a woman arrived having an alabaster container of ointment, of precious spikenard. And breaking open the alabaster container, she poured it over his head.


But Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea. And a great crowd followed him from Galilee and Judea,


Now it happened that, while they were traveling, he entered into a certain town. And a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her home.


And it happened that, when he had drawn near to Bethphage and Bethania, to the mount which is called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,


Then he led them out as far as Bethania. And lifting up his hands, he blessed them.


Now there was a certain sick man, Lazarus of Bethania, from the town of Mary and her sister Martha.


(Now Bethania was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia.)
