Now he was required to release one person for them on the feast day.


Now he had been cast into prison because of a certain sedition that occurred in the city and for murder.


But Peter was standing outside at the entrance. Therefore, the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the woman who was the doorkeeper, and he led in Peter.


For the multitude of the people were following and crying out, "Take him away!"


Now they were listening to him, until this word, and then they lifted up their voice, saying: "Take this kind away from the earth! For it is not fitting for him to live!"


Then you denied the Holy and Just One, and petitioned for a murderous man to be given to you.
