From that time, Jesus began to reveal to his disciples that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and to suffer much from the elders and the scribes and the leaders of the priests, and to be killed, and to rise again on the third day.


saying: "Lord, we have remembered that that this seducer said, while he was still alive, 'After three days, I will rise again.'


For he will be handed over to the Gentiles, and he will be mocked and scourged and spit upon.


But they understood none of these things. For this word was concealed from them, and they did not understand the things that were said.


But we were hoping that he would be the Redeemer of Israel. And now, on top of all this, today is the third day since these things have happened.
