The tabernacles of robbers are numerous, and they provoke God boldly; whereas, it is he who has given all things into their hands.


God has given him a place for repentance, and he abuses it with arrogance, but his eyes are upon his ways.


But God is our king before all ages. He has wrought salvation in the midst of the earth.


Lift up your hands against their arrogance in the end. How great the malice of the enemy has been in the sanctuary!


Behold, this was the iniquity of Sodom, your sister: arrogance, indulgence in bread and abundance, and the idleness of her and her daughters; and they did not reach out their hand to the needy and the poor.


And she did not know that I gave her grain and wine and oil, and that I increased her silver and gold, which they made into Baal.


Yet some others fell upon good soil, and they produced fruit: some one hundred fold, some sixty fold, some thirty fold.


In this way, you shall be sons of your Father, who is in heaven. He causes his sun to rise upon the good and the bad, and he causes it to rain upon the just and the unjust.


So he said to them: "Be cautious and wary of all avarice. For a person's life is not found in the abundance of the things that he possesses."


And he thought within himself, saying: 'What should I do? For I have nowhere to gather together my crops.'


And by saying these things, they were barely able to restrain the crowds from immolating to them.
