You shall not adore them, nor shall you worship them. I am the Lord your God: strong, zealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the sons to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,


And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, and others say Elijah, still others say Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

They responded and said to him, "You were born entirely in sins, and you would teach us?" And they cast him out.


And truly, when the natives saw the beast hanging from his hand, they were saying to one another: "Certainly, this man must be a murderer, for though he escaped from the sea, vengeance will not permit him to live."
