But the little ones struggled in her womb. So she said, "If it was to be so with me, what need was there to conceive?" And she went to consult the Lord.


Isaac was fond of Esau, because he was fed from his hunting; and Rebekah loved Jacob.


Isaac became frightened and very astonished. And wondering beyond what can be believed, he said: "Then who is he that a while ago brought me the prey from his hunting, from which I ate, before you arrived? And I blessed him, and he will be blessed."


make from it a small meal for me, just as you know I like, and bring it, so that I may eat and my soul may bless you before I die."


Confession and magnificence are his work. And his justice remains from age to age.


And do not choose to say within yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God has the power to raise up sons to Abraham from these stones.

For you have been born again, not from corruptible seed, but from what is incorruptible, from the Word of God, living and remaining for all eternity.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy has regenerated us into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead:


Like newborn infants, desire the milk of reasonableness without guile, so that by this you may increase unto salvation,


All those who have been born of God do not commit sin. For the offspring of God abides in them, and he is not able to sin, because he was born of God.


Most beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.


Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God. And everyone who loves God, who provides that birth, also loves him who has been born of God.


We know that everyone who is born of God does not sin. Instead, rebirth in God preserves him, and the evil one cannot touch him.


For all that is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world: our faith.
