Laban said to him: "May I find grace in your sight. I have learned by experience that God has blessed me because of you.


And he said to them: "Why would you choose to act in this way? Could you be ignorant that there is no one like me in the knowledge of discerning signs?"


He did as he had been ordered. And having overtaken them, he spoke to them according to the order.


The men accepted this as a good sign. And hastily, they took up the word from his mouth, and they said, "Benhadad is your brother." And he said to them, "Go, and bring him to me." Therefore, Benhadad went out to him, and he lifted him onto his chariot.


And he led his son through fire. And he used divinations, and observed omens, and appointed soothsayers, and multiplied diviners, so that he did evil before the Lord, and provoked him.


You shall not eat with blood. You shall not practice divination, nor the observation of dreams.
