The innocent trust every word. The astute one considers his own steps. Nothing good will be for the deceitful son. But the wise servant shall act prosperously and his way will be set in order.


The childish will possess foolishness, and the discerning will anticipate knowledge.


The wisdom of a discerning man is to understand his way. And the imprudence of the foolish is to be wandering astray.


A prudent heart shall possess knowledge. And the ear of the wise seeks doctrine.


Ephraim will say, "What are idols to me any more?" I will listen to him, and I will set him straight like a healthy spruce tree. Your fruit has been found by me.


Then the proconsul, when he had seen what was done, believed, being in wonder over the doctrine of the Lord.


But Elymas the magician (for so his name is translated) stood against them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the Faith.


But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rose up with one accord against Paul. And they brought him to the tribunal,


But if Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a case against anyone, they can convene in the courts, and there are proconsuls. Let them accuse one another.
