There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,\par\tab The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.


{\b A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.}\par\par\tab O God, thou art my God; earnestly will I seek thee:\par\tab My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee,\par\tab In a dry and weary land, where no water is.


Thou crownest the year with thy goodness;\par\tab And thy paths drop fatness.


The isles have seen, and fear; the ends of the earth tremble; they draw near, and come.


Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Jehovah our God? therefore we will wait for thee; for thou hast made all these things.\par


Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; that preserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.


It hath seemed good unto me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God hath wrought toward me.


then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
