While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.


Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days {\i began},\par\tab {\i And} caused the dayspring to know its place;


He maketh the storm a calm,\par\tab So that the waves thereof are still.


Then was our mouth filled with laughter,\par\tab And our tongue with singing:\par\tab Then said they among the nations,\par\tab Jehovah hath done great things for them.


Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt,\par\tab Upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants;


The sun to rule by day;\par\tab For his lovingkindness {\i endureth} for ever;


Praise ye him, sun and moon:\par\tab Praise him, all ye stars of light.


Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,\par\tab And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.


Ask of me, and I will give {\i thee} the nations for thine inheritance,\par\tab And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.


The pastures are clothed with flocks;\par\tab The valleys also are covered over with grain;\par\tab They shout for joy, they also sing.\par


Say unto God, How terrible are thy works!\par\tab Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.


The day is thine, the night also is thine:\par\tab Thou hast prepared the light and the sun.


Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain;\par\tab Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.


The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but he shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.


and lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, thou be drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which Jehovah thy God hath allotted unto all the peoples under the whole heaven.


And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and there were killed in the earthquake seven thousand persons: and the rest were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.\par
