because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.


and the statutes and the ordinances, and the law and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods:


And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.\par


Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,


That they might keep his statutes,\par\tab And observe his laws.\par\tab Praise ye Jehovah.


The works of his hands are truth and justice;\par\tab All his precepts are sure.


{\b NUN.}\par\par\tab Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,\par\tab And light unto my path.


Blessed art thou, O Jehovah:\par\tab Teach me thy statutes.


{\b AYIN.}\par\par\tab I have done justice and righteousness:\par\tab Leave me not to mine oppressors.


Therefore I esteem all {\i thy} precepts concerning all {\i things} to be right; {\i And} I hate every false way.\par


The opening of thy words giveth light;\par\tab It giveth understanding unto the simple.


I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies,\par\tab As much as in all riches.


Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me;\par\tab {\i Yet} thy commandments are my delight.


I will delight myself in thy statutes:\par\tab I will not forget thy word.\par


Let my lips utter praise;\par\tab For thou teachest me thy statutes.


Thy testimonies also are my delight\par\tab {\i And} my counsellors.\par


Behold, I have longed after thy precepts:\par\tab Quicken me in thy righteousness.\par


Thy statutes have been my songs\par\tab In the house of my pilgrimage.


Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes,\par\tab That I be not put to shame.\par


Unless thy law had been my delight,\par\tab I should then have perished in mine affliction.


The words of Jehovah are pure words;\par\tab As silver tried in a furnace on the earth,\par\tab Purified seven times.


Consider {\i and} answer me, O Jehovah my God:\par\tab Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the {\i sleep of} death;


I delight to do thy will, O my God;\par\tab Yea, thy law is within my heart.


Thy testimonies are very sure:\par\tab Holiness becometh thy house, O Jehovah, for evermore.\par


when they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between a man and his neighbor, and I make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.


For Jehovah giveth wisdom;\par\tab Out of his mouth {\i cometh} knowledge and understanding:


Every word of God is tried:\par\tab He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him.


For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light;\par\tab And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:


Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou wast wroth, and we sinned: in them {\i have we been} of long time; and shall we be saved?


Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.


And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep mine ordinances, and do them.


because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law {\i cometh} the knowledge of sin.\par


For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:


What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Howbeit, I had not known sin, except through the law: for I had not known coveting, except the law had said, {\b Thou shalt not covet}:


For I through the law died unto the law, that I might live unto God.


Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.


and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are in the midst of thee, in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.


and thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
