Hast thou entered the treasuries of the snow,\par\tab Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,


He watereth the mountains from his chambers:\par\tab The earth is filled with the fruit of thy works.


They have ears, but they hear not;\par\tab Neither is there any breath in their mouths.

Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Jehovah our God? therefore we will wait for thee; for thou hast made all these things.\par


Thus will I do unto this place, saith Jehovah, and to the inhabitants thereof, even making this city as Topheth:


Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; that preserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
