Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, And increasest thine indignation upon me: Changes and warfare are with me.


Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, And shine upon the counsel of the wicked?


And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, And try him every moment?


Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But Jehovah delivereth him out of them all.


Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;


Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou indeed be unto me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail?


You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities.


and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;
