And Asa cried unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, there is none besides thee to help, between the mighty and him that hath no strength: help us, O Jehovah our God; for we rely on thee, and in thy name are we come against this multitude. O Jehovah, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.


How much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm!


Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame: They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.


In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; Let me never be put to shame: Deliver me in thy righteousness.


Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, Yea, unto my neighbors exceedingly, And a fear to mine acquaintance: They that did see me without fled from me.


Mine enemies speak evil against me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish?


Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.


Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.


Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.


He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.


Let him give his cheek to him that smiteth him; let him be filled full with reproach.


The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a gluttonous man and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! And wisdom is justified by her works.


But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man doth not cast out demons, but by Beelzebub the prince of the demons.
