And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, O Jehovah, who saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will do thee good:


And God remembered Noah, and all the beasts, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;


In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was thou that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and Jehovah said to thee, Thou shalt be shepherd of my people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over Israel.


And now, O Jehovah God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm thou it for ever, and do as thou hast spoken.


Oh remember that my life is a breath: Mine eye shall no more see good.


Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works.


For he remembered his holy word, And Abraham his servant.


Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor that thou bearest unto thy people; Oh visit me with thy salvation,


And he remembered for them his covenant, And repented according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.


I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.


And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; For I have hoped in thine ordinances.


They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word.


My soul fainteth for thy salvation; But I hope in thy word.


But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more.


I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah’s remembrancers, take ye no rest,


Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.


Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;


who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.
