And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.


And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that had good understanding in the service of Jehovah. So they did eat throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace-offerings, and making confession to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.


Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.


Thou hast taken away all thy wrath; Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.


If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be bloodguiltiness for him; he shall make restitution: if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.


a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;


And in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me.


And it shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy trouble, and from the hard service wherein thou wast made to serve,


Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, so that the Asherim and the sun-images shall rise no more.


And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.


Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; he will come and save you.


I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.


I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.


But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.


All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.


Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee.


No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness which is of me, saith Jehovah.


let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Instead of your shame ye shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.


As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.


And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled mine inheritance with their abominations.


Let them be put to shame that persecute me, but let not me be put to shame; let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed; bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.


For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.


Jehovah hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of Jehovah our God.


The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: He will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will uncover thy sins.


So will I cause my wrath toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.


And some of them that are wise shall fall, to refine them, and to purify, and to make them white, even to the time of the end; because it is yet for the time appointed.


But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.


And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.


And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.


in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years whereof the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.


Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.


And it shall be at that day, saith Jehovah, that thou shalt call me Ishi, and shalt call me no more Baali.


For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hasteth toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.


Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not fear evil any more.


And Jehovah answered the angel that talked with me with good words, even comfortable words.


And I am very sore displeased with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.


Turn you to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope: even to-day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.


And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within his own authority.


but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,


Render unto her even as she rendered, and double unto her the double according to her works: in the cup which she mingled, mingle unto her double.
