And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.


Thou art Jehovah, even thou alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things that are thereon, the seas and all that is in them, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.


He hath described a boundary upon the face of the waters, Unto the confines of light and darkness.


He stretcheth out the north over empty space, And hangeth the earth upon nothing.


Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; Who maketh the clouds his chariot; Who walketh upon the wings of the wind;


He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.


The sea is his, and he made it; And his hands formed the dry land.


All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; unto the place whither the rivers go, thither they go again.


Fear ye not me? saith Jehovah: will ye not tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it? and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it.


And he said unto them, I am a Hebrew; and I fear Jehovah, the God of heaven, who hath made the sea and the dry land.


For this they wilfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God;


and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created the heaven and the things that are therein, and the earth and the things that are therein, and the sea and the things that are therein, that there shall be delay no longer:
