And he said, I have been very jealous for Jehovah, the God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.


Yet will I leave me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.


Behold, he will slay me; I have no hope: Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.


The wicked flee when no man pursueth; But the righteous are bold as a lion.


Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.


Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.


And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death.
