Genesis 42 - King James Bible with Strong Numbers

H3290Now when JacobH7200saw[H8799] H3426that there wasH7668cornH4714in EgyptH3290, JacobH559said[H8799] H1121unto his sonsH7200, Why do ye look[H8691]  one upon another?

H559And he said[H8799] H8085, Behold, I have heard[H8804] H3426that there isH7668cornH4714in EgyptH3381: get you down[H8798] H7666thither, and buy[H8798] H2421for us from thence; that we may live[H8799] H4191, and not die[H8799] .

H3130And Joseph'sH6235tenH251brethrenH3381went down[H8799] H7666to buy[H8800] H1250cornH4714in Egypt.

H1144But BenjaminH3130, Joseph'sH251brotherH3290, JacobH7971sent[H8804] H251not with his brethrenH559; for he said[H8804] H6435, Lest peradventureH611mischiefH7122befall him[H8799] .

H1121And the sonsH3478of IsraelH935came[H8799] H7666to buy[H8800] H8432corn amongH935those that came[H8802] H7458: for the famineH776was in the landH3667of Canaan.

H3130And JosephH7989was the governorH776over the landH7666, and he it was that sold[H8688] H5971to all the peopleH776of the landH3130: and Joseph'sH251brethrenH935came[H8799] H7812, and bowed down[H8691] H639themselves before him with their facesH776to the earth.

H3130And JosephH7200saw[H8799] H251his brethrenH5234, and he knew[H8686] H5234them, but made himself strange[H8691] H1696unto them, and spake[H8762] H7186roughlyH559unto them; and he said[H8799] H370unto them, WhenceH935come[H8804] H559ye? And they said[H8799] H776, From the landH3667of CanaanH7666to buy[H8800] H400food.

H3130And JosephH5234knew[H8686] H251his brethrenH5234, but they knew[H8689]  not him.

H3130And JosephH2142remembered[H8799] H2472the dreamsH2492which he dreamed[H8804] H559of them, and said[H8799] H7270unto them, Ye are spies[H8764] H7200; to see[H8800] H6172the nakednessH776of the landH935ye are come[H8804] .

H559And they said[H8799] H113unto him, Nay, my lordH7666, but to buy[H8800] H400foodH5650are thy servantsH935come[H8804] .

H5168WeH259are all oneH376man'sH1121sonsH3651; we are trueH5650men, thy servantsH7270are no spies[H8764] .

H559And he said[H8799] H7200unto them, Nay, but to see[H8800] H6172the nakednessH776of the landH935ye are come[H8804] .

H559And they said[H8799] H5650, Thy servantsH8147are twelveH6240 H251brethrenH1121, the sonsH259of oneH376manH776in the landH3667of CanaanH6996; and, behold, the youngestH3117is this dayH1with our fatherH259, and one is not.

H3130And JosephH559said[H8799] H1696unto them, That is it that I spake[H8765] H559unto you, saying[H8800] H7270, Ye are spies[H8764] :

H2063HerebyH974ye shall be proved[H8735] H2416: By the lifeH6547of PharaohH3318ye shall not go forth[H8799] H6996hence, except your youngestH251brotherH935come[H8800]  hither.

H7971Send[H8798] H259oneH3947of you, and let him fetch[H8799] H251your brotherH631, and ye shall be kept in prison[H8734] H1697, that your wordsH974may be proved[H8735] H571, whether there be any truthH854inH3808you: or elseH2416by the lifeH6547of PharaohH7270surely ye are spies[H8764] .

H622And he put them all together[H8799] H4929into wardH7969threeH3117days.

H3130And JosephH559said[H8799] H7992unto them the thirdH3117dayH6213, This do[H8798] H2421, and live[H8798] H3373; for I fearH430God:

H3651If ye be trueH259men, let oneH251of your brethrenH631be bound[H8735] H1004in the houseH4929of your prisonH3212: go[H8798] H935ye, carry[H8685] H7668cornH7459for the famineH1004of your houses:

H935But bring[H8686] H6996your youngestH251brotherH1697unto me; so shall your wordsH539be verified[H8735] H4191, and ye shall not die[H8799] H6213. And they did[H8799]  so.

H559And they said[H8799] H376oneH251to anotherH61, We are verilyH818guiltyH251concerning our brotherH834, in thatH7200we saw[H8804] H6869the anguishH5315of his soulH2603, when he besought[H8692] H8085us, and we would not hear[H8804] H6869; therefore is this distressH935come[H8804]  upon us.

H7205And ReubenH6030answered[H8799] H559them, saying[H8800] H559, Spake I[H8804] H559not unto you, saying[H8800] H2398, Do not sin[H8799] H3206against the childH8085; and ye would not hear[H8804] H1818? therefore, behold, also his bloodH1875is required[H8738] .

H3045And they knew[H8804] H3130not that JosephH8085understood[H8802] H3887them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter[H8688] .

H5437And he turned himself about[H8735] H1058from them, and wept[H8799] H7725; and returned to them again[H8799] H1696, and communed[H8762] H3947with them, and took[H8799] H8095from them SimeonH631, and bound[H8799] H5869him before their eyes.

H3130Then JosephH6680commanded[H8762] H4390to fill[H8762] H3627their sacksH1250with cornH7725, and to restore[H8687] H376every man'sH3701moneyH8242into his sackH5414, and to give[H8800] H6720them provisionH1870for the wayH3651: and thusH6213did he[H8799]  unto them.

H5375And they laded[H8799] H2543their assesH7668with the cornH3212, and departed[H8799]  thence.

H259And as oneH6605of them opened[H8799] H8242his sackH5414to give[H8800] H2543his assH4554provenderH4411in the innH7200, he espied[H8799] H3701his moneyH572; for, behold, it was in his sack'sH6310mouth.

H559And he said[H8799] H251unto his brethrenH3701, My moneyH7725is restored[H8717] H2009; and, loH572, it is even in my sackH3820: and their heartH3318failed[H8799] H2729them, and they were afraid[H8799] H559, saying[H8800] H376oneH251to anotherH430, What is this that GodH6213hath done[H8804]  unto us?

H935And they came[H8799] H3290unto JacobH1their fatherH776unto the landH3667of CanaanH5046, and told[H8686] H7136him all that befell[H8802] H559unto them; saying[H8800] ,

H376The manH113, who is the lordH776of the landH1696, spake[H8765] H7186roughlyH5414to us, and took[H8799] H7270us for spies[H8764] H776of the country.

H559And we said[H8799] H3651unto him, We are trueH7270men; we are no spies[H8764] :

H6240We be twelveH8147 H251brethrenH1121, sonsH1of our fatherH259; oneH6996is not, and the youngestH3117is this dayH1with our fatherH776in the landH3667of Canaan.

H376And the manH113, the lordH776of the countryH559, said[H8799] H3045unto us, Hereby shall I know[H8799] H3651that ye are trueH3240men; leave[H8685] H259oneH251of your brethrenH3947here with me, and take[H8798] H7459food for the famineH1004of your householdsH3212, and be gone[H8798] :

H935And bring[H8685] H6996your youngestH251brotherH3045unto me: then shall I know[H8799] H7270that ye are no spies[H8764] H3651, but that ye are trueH5414men: so will I deliver[H8799] H251you your brotherH5503, and ye shall traffick[H8799] H776in the land.

H7324And it came to pass as they emptied[H8688] H8242their sacksH376, that, behold, every man'sH6872bundleH3701of moneyH8242was in his sackH1: and when both they and their fatherH7200saw[H8799] H6872the bundlesH3701of moneyH3372, they were afraid[H8799] .

H3290And JacobH1their fatherH559said[H8799] H7921unto them, Me have ye bereaved[H8765] H3130of my children : JosephH8095is not, and SimeonH3947is not, and ye will take[H8799] H1144Benjamin away : all these things are against me.

H7205And ReubenH559spake[H8799] H1unto his fatherH559, saying[H8800] H4191, Slay[H8686] H8147my twoH1121sonsH935, if I bring[H8686] H5414him not to thee: deliver[H8798] H3027him into my handH7725, and I will bring him to thee again[H8686] .

H559And he said[H8799] H1121, My sonH3381shall not go down[H8799] H251with you; for his brotherH4191is dead[H8804] H7604, and he is left[H8738] H611alone: if mischiefH7122befall[H8804] H1870him by the wayH3212in the which ye go[H8799] H3381, then shall ye bring down[H8689] H7872my gray hairsH3015with sorrowH7585to the grave.
