Psalm 95 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Come, let us praise the Lord!\par Let’s shout praises to the Rock, {\cf2\super [525]} \par who saves us.\par

² Let’s sing songs of thanks to the Lord.\par Let’s sing happy songs of praise to him.\par

³ Why? Because the Lord is a great God!\par He is the Great King ruling over\par all the other “gods.”\par

⁴ The deepest caves and the highest mountains\par belong to the Lord.\par

⁵ The ocean is his—he created it.\par God made the dry land\par with his own hands.\par

⁶ Come, let’s bow down and worship him!\par Let’s praise the God who made us!\par

⁷ He is our God, and we are his people.\par We are his sheep today—\par if we listen to his voice.\par

⁸ God says,\par “Don’t be stubborn,\par like you were at Meribah, {\cf2\super [526]} \par like you were at Massah {\cf2\super [527]} in the desert.\par

⁹ Your ancestors {\cf2\super [528]} tested me.\par They tested me,\par but then they saw what I could do!\par

¹⁰ I was patient with those people\par for 40 years.\par And I know that they are not faithful.\par Those people refused to follow my teachings.\par

¹¹ So I was angry, and I swore (promised)\par they would not enter my land of rest.\par
