Psalm 66 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Everything on earth,\par shout with joy to God!\par

² Praise his glorious name!\par Honor him with songs of praise!\par

³ Tell God how wonderful his works are!\par God, your power is very great!\par Your enemies bow down.\par They are afraid of you!\par

⁴ Let the whole world worship you.\par Let everyone sing praises to your name.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [378]})\i0 \par

⁵ Look at the things God did!\par Those things amaze us.\par

⁶ God made the sea become dry land. {\cf2\super [379]} \par His happy people walked across the river. {\cf2\super [380]} \par

⁷ God rules the world with his great power.\par God watches people everywhere.\par No person can rebel against him.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [381]})\i0 \par

⁸ People, praise our God.\par Sing loud songs of praise to him.\par

⁹ God gave us life.\par And God protects us.\par

¹⁰ God tested us,\par like people test silver with fire.\par

¹¹ God, you let us be trapped.\par You put heavy burdens on us.\par

^12-14 You let our enemies walk on us.\par You dragged us through fire and water.\par But you brought us to a safe place.\par

¹⁶ All of you people worshiping God,\par come and I will tell you\par what God did for me.\par

¹⁷ I prayed to him.\par I praised him.\par

¹⁸ My heart was pure,\par so my Master listened to me.\par

¹⁹ God listened to me.\par God heard my prayer.\par

²⁰ Praise God!\par God did not turn away from me—\par he listened to my prayer.\par God showed his love to me!\par
