Psalm 146:3

He said, “If YHWH doesn’t help you, where could I get help for you? From of the threshing floor, or from the wine press?”


At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on YHWH your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.


Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is vain.


Give us help against the adversary, for the help of man is vain.


Surely the children of humanity are but a breath, important people but a falsehood. Weighed on a balances, they will go up, because together they are lighter than a breath.


Y’all must stop trusting in humankind, whose breath is in their nostrils. Why should they be esteemed?


“In that day,” says YHWH Almighty, “the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for YHWH has spoken it.”


Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When YHWH stretches out his hand, both he who helps will stumble, and he who is helped will fall, and they all will be consumed together.
