“But our ancestors were unwilling to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,


However, he must not accumulate horses for himself, or cause the people to return to Egypt, for the purpose of accumulating horses, because YHWH has said to y’all, “Y’all must not go back that way again.”


YHWH will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I told to you that you would never see it again. There y’all will sell yourselves to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.


In fact, if they had been focusing on the country they left, they would have had an opportunity to return.
