But y’all say, ‘Whoever tells their father or mother, “Whatever help I have for you is devoted to God,”


And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar is bound by nothing, but whoever swears by the gift on the altar is bound by the oath.’


The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is blood money.”
