“Y’all shouldn’t give what is holy to the dogs or throw your* pearls before the pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear y’all to pieces.


Those who fed them fled and went away into the city and reported everything, including what happened to those who were possessed by demons.


Jesus gave them permission, and the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs. Then the herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they drowned in the sea.


They came to Jesus, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, the very one who had the “legion.” They were terrified.


When the herdsmen saw what had happened, they fled and reported this in the town and countryside.
