While he was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and his brothers stood outside, wanting to talk to him.


“Why were y’all looking for me?” he replied. “Didn’t y’all know I had to be in my Father’s house?”


Now Jesus was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son (as it was thought) of Joseph, the son of Heli,


All were speaking well about him and marveling at the gracious words that came from his mouth. Yet they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”


Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the law and the prophets also wrote about—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
