When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Bring the men into the house, and butcher an animal, and prepare it; for the men will dine with me at noon.”


Then David arose from the earth, and washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothing; and he came into the house of YHWH, and worshiped. Then he came to his own house; and when he requested, they set bread before him and he ate.


Blessed are those servants whose master finds alert when he comes. Truly I tell y’all that he will dress himself to serve, have them recline at the table, and will come and serve them.


Which of y’all, will say to a servant who comes in from plowing or shepherding sheep, ‘Come immediately and sit down to eat’?


Will he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded?
