When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.


He has brought the high fortress of your walls down, laid low, and brought to the ground, even to the dust.


There will be brooks and streams of water on every lofty mountain and on every high hill in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.


Y’all shout against her on every side. She has thrown up her hands in surrender. Her pillars have fallen. Her walls have been thrown down, for it is the vengeance of YHWH. Y’all are to take vengeance on her. As she has done, do to her.


By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after the people encircled it for seven days.


At the seventh time, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Y’all shout, for YHWH has given y’all the city!


So the people shouted and the priests blew the trumpets. When the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight in front of him, and they took the city.


Seven priests are to bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. On the seventh day, y’all are to march around the city seven times, while the priests blow the trumpets.


Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said to them, “Y’all pick up the ark of the covenant, and have seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark of YHWH.”
