I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”


You also multiplied their children as the stars of the sky, and brought them into the land concerning which you said to their fathers that they should go in to possess it.


YHWH said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant, Job? For there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.”


“Look, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.


Not so with my servant Moses is. He is faithful in all my house.


But commission Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him, because he will go over before this people, and he will enable them to inherit the land that you will see.”


Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land which YHWH has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you will enable them to inherit it.


So Moses the servant of YHWH died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of YHWH.


Now after the death of Moses the servant of YHWH, YHWH spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,


“Y’all go through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Y’all prepare provisions. In three days, y’all are to pass over the Jordan and go in to possess the land which YHWH y’all’s God is giving y’all to possess.’”
