YHWH said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?


Ahab came into his house sullen and angry because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him, for he had said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” He laid himself down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.


Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.


But this massively displeased Jonah, and he became angry.


So now, YHWH, I beg you, take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.”


Then Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city, and there made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade, until he could see what would happen to the city.


God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the vine?” He said, “I am right to be angry, even to death.”


My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me!
