Then Joab came to the king and said, “What have you done? Look, Abner came to you. Why is it that you have sent him away, and he is already gone?


He said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of YHWH, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” He lied to him.


But if she bears a female child, then she will be unclean two weeks, as in her period. She must continue in the blood of purification sixty-six days.


Then the men were afraid with massive fear, and said to him, “What have you done?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of YHWH, because he had told them.


Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own ethnic group and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”


For sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.


But I fear that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, so y’all’s minds might be corrupted from sincere and pure devotion to Christ.


And Adam was not deceived. But it was the woman who was deceived and came into transgression,
