Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,


He bought the parcel of ground where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for one hundred pieces of money.


“Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.


They are to give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs); half a shekel for an offering to YHWH.


The rich are not to give more than the half shekel, and the poor are not give less, when they give the offering of YHWH, to make atonement for y’all’s souls.


The shekel is to be twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels will be y’all’s mina.
