Ish-bosheth sent and took her from her husband, Paltiel the son of Laish.
As the ark of YHWH came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window. When saw King David leaping and dancing before YHWH, she despised him in her heart.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way: His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
Saul said, “Y’all tell David, ‘The king desires no dowry except one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, as revenge for the king’s enemies.’” Now Saul thought he would make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
David and his men, got up and went and killed two hundred Philistine men. Then David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full number to the king, so that he could become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him Michal his daughter as wife.
Now Saul had given Michal his daughter, David’s wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was of Gallim.
