I will hear what God, YHWH, will speak, for ʜᴇ will speak peace to ʜɪꜱ people, ʜɪꜱ saints; but let them not turn again to folly.


Surely ʜɪꜱ salvation is near those who fear ʜɪᴍ, that glory may dwell in our land.


They said to Moses, “Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”


I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom should I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”


He said, “Greatly beloved man, don’t be afraid. Peace be to you. Y’all must be strong-strong!” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”


Nevertheless, get up and go into the city. Then you will be told what you must do.”


He said, “Neither. I have come now as commander of YHWH’s army.” Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him, “What does my lord say to ʜɪꜱ servant?”


YHWH came, and stood, and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak; for your servant hears.”


YHWH called Samuel again the third time. He arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; for you called me.” Eli perceived that YHWH had called the child.
