They rose up in the morning early and worshiped YHWH, then returned and came to their house to Ramah. Then Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and YHWH remembered her.
Therefore I have also given him to YHWH. As long as he lives he is given to YHWH.” He worshiped YHWH there.
But Samuel ministered before YHWH, being a child, clothed with a linen ephod.
The child Samuel ministered to YHWH before Eli. the word of YHWH was rare in those days. There were not many visions, then.
Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of YHWH. Samuel was afraid to show Eli the vision.
His return was to Ramah, for his house was there, and he judged Israel there; and he built an altar to YHWH there.
