Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen a God besides you, who works on behalf of the one who waits for ʜɪᴍ.
We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus answered, “This man didn’t sin, nor did his parents, but this happened so that the works of God might be revealed in him.
But as it is written, “Things which no eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and which didn’t enter into the human heart, these things God has prepared for those who love him.”
Y’all look at the kind of love the Father has given to us—that we should be called children of God! And indeed we are! For this reason the world doesn’t know us: because it didn’t know ʜɪᴍ.
This is how we know what love is: that he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our siblings.
Anyone who keeps ʜɪꜱ commandments remains in ʜɪᴍ, and ʜᴇ in that person. By this we know that ʜᴇ remains in us, by the Spirit which ʜᴇ gave us.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
