Even now is the axe put unto the root of the trees: so that every tree which bringeth not forth, good fruit, shall be hewn down, and cast into the fire.


A good tree cannot bring forth bad fruite: nor yet a bad tree can bring forth good fruit.


Now also is the axe laid unto the root of the trees. Every tree therefore, which bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be hewn down, and cast into the fire.


And let ours also learn to excel in good works as far forth as need requireth, that they be not unfruitful.


but that ground, which beareth thorns and briars, is reproved, and is nye unto cursing: whose end is to be burned.


¶ These are spots which of your kindness feast together, without fear, feeding themselves. Clouds they are without water, carried about of winds: Trees rotten in autumn, unfruitfull, twice dead, and plucked up by the roots.
