but Iesus held his peace. And the chief priest answered, and said to him: I charge thee in the name of the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be Christ the son of God.


Then said Pilate unto him: hearest thou not how many things they lay against thee?


and he answered him to never a word: in so much that the deputy marvelled very sore.


Then questioned he with him of many things: But he answered him not one word.
