¶ Iesus said unto them: have ye understood all these things? They said, yee sir.


¶ And he called the people unto him, and said to them: hear and understand.


¶ Then answered Peter and said to him: declare unto us this parable.


perceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth in at the mouth, descendeth down into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?


Why perceive ye not then, that I spake not unto you of bread, when I said, beware of the leaven of the pharises and of the sadducees?


Do ye not yet perceive, neither remember those v loaves, when there were v M men, and how many baskets took ye up?


For they remembered not of the loaves, because their hearts were blinded.


and he said unto them: Do ye than lack understanding: Do ye not yet perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into a man, it cannot defile him,


But they wist not what that saying meant, and were afraid to ask him.


They understood none of these things. And this saying was hid from them. And they perceived not the things which were spoken.


Then opened he their wits, that they might understand the scriptures,


But they wist not what that word meant, and it was hid from them that they understood it not. And they feared to ask him of that saying.


For when as concerning the time, ye ought to be teachers, yet have ye need again that we teach you the first principles of the word of God: and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat:
