Iesus said to him, it is written also: thou shalt not tempt thy Lord God.


And he called him, and said unto him: How is it, that I hear this of thee? Give accounts of thy stewardship. For thou mayest be no longer my steward.


Now therefore why tempt ye God, that ye would put a yoke on the disciples necks which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear:


And the young men rose up, and put him apart, and carried him out, and buried him.


And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written: how beautiful are the feet of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things.


¶ Yee and we know that whatsoever the law saith, he saith it to them which are under the law: That all mouths may be stopped, and all the world be subdued to God,


Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them tempted and were destroyed of serpents.
