¶ Furthermore brethren fare ye well, be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace, shall be with you.
¶ But God which is rich in mercy thorow his great love wherewith he loved us,
¶ And this is the tidings which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
He that saith I know him, and keepeth not his commandments is a liar, and the verity is not in him.
He that saith how that he is in the light, and yet hateth his brother, is in darkness even until this time.
In this are the children of God known, and the children of the devil. Whosoever doth not righteousness, is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
As many as bide in him, sin not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither hath known him.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. ¶ God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
¶ Dearly beloved, let us love one another: for love cometh of God. And every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
