Wherefore they are no more twain but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.


Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.


God forbid. Know ye not, that he who is joined to an harlot is one body? For they two, saith he, shall be one flesh.


Yet, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife; and let every woman have her own husband.


The wife hath not power over her own body, but the husband; and in like manner the husband also hath not power over his own body, but the wife.


For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they two shall be one flesh.
