And the fame of it went abroad into all that country.


But when they were gone out, they spread his fame in all that country.


And he charged them, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod.


Nor yet Herod; for I sent you to him; and lo, he hath done nothing worthy of death.


Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,


But Herod the tetrarch being reproved by him concerning Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, and concerning all the evils which Herod had done, Added also this above all,


And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.


About that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to afflict a certain of the church.


Now there were in the church that was at Antioch, certain prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene and Manaen, who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


For of a truth, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed,
