But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God, to tell us, if thou art the Christ, the Son of God?


And the tempter coming to him said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.


When it was evening, they brought to him many demoniacs; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were ill:


And behold they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?


And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus saith to him, See thou tell no man, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.


And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him.


And in the evening, when the sun was set, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.


And he healed many that were ill of divers diseases, and cast out many devils, and suffered not the devils to say that they knew him.


And unclean spirits when they saw him fell down before him and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.


And standing over her, he rebuked the fever, and it left her: and immediately she arose and served them.


But these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life thro' his name.


Thou believest there is one God: thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble.
