When the thousand years has ended, satan shall be released from his prison,
The third angel trumpeted, and a great star fell from the heavens, burning like a torch. It fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
The first trumpeted, and there was hail and fire mixed with blood, and they were thrown upon the earth. A third of the earth burned up, a third of the trees burned up, and all the green grass burned up.
The second angel trumpeted, and something like a huge mountain ablaze with fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood,
a third of the creatures living in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
They have tails like scorpions with stingers; and in their tails is their power to harm people for five months.
By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone that came out of their mouths.
And they were permitted not to kill them, but to torment them for five months—and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a person.
