Then King David said to the entire assembly: “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced and the task is great, for the palace is not for man but for Adonai Elohim.


Let them praise the Name of Adonai, for His Name alone is exalted. His glory is above earth and heaven.


For You make them turn their backs. You aim Your bowstrings at their faces.


For Your lovingkindness is great up to the heavens, and Your truth to the skies.


See, they are spewing with their mouth —swords in their lips— “After all, who is listening?”


who sharpened their tongue like a sword, and aimed their arrow—bitter words,
