The Name of Adonai is a strong tower. The righteous one runs into it and is set safely up high.


A crafty person sees danger and hides, but the naïve keep going and suffer for it.


Be wise, my son, make my heart glad, so I may answer anyone who taunts me.


Take a man’s garment, who puts up security for a stranger, and hold it in pledge, as security for a seductive woman.


But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
