I hate and abhor falsehood, but Your Torah I love.


The slacker’s soul craves, yet has nothing, but the diligent soul will be satisfied.


When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with dishonor comes disgrace.


The wise inherit honor, but fools are held up in disgrace.


Keep falsehood and lies far from me. Give me neither poverty nor riches, but feed me with my allotted bread,


haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,


a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.


There you will remember your ways and all your deeds, by which you defiled yourselves. You will loathe yourselves for all your evil that you have done.


When you remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, you will be disgusted with yourselves because of your iniquities and your abominations.


The survivors will remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I was crushed by their adulterous heart that has strayed from Me and their eyes which have lusted after their idols. They will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils that they committed in all their abominations.


Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake—some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting contempt.


Next I disposed of the three shepherds in one month—for my soul was impatient with them and their soul also detested me.
